12 Ships! Wu Ship and Dalian Liaonan Shipyard Won The World's Largest Order For Seacraft Last Year

China National Offshore Oil Service (CNOOC) has 12 orders totaling nearly 1 billion yuan for offshore vessels, which eventually cost two shipyards. In addition, Dalian Liaonan Shipyard has received 4 orders for 5,000 horsepower supply guard ships. This is the largest order for marine craft received by China Shipyard this year, and also the largest order for LNG powered dual fuel marine craft in recent years.

Eight 4,000 horsepower LNG power guard supply ships were captured by the warship

On the afternoon of November 30, Wushui Group and Zhonghai Oilfield Service Co., Ltd. signed the contract for the construction of two types of 8 4,000 horsepower LNG power guard supply vessels. The contract was signed by the Party Secretary, General Manager Che Yonggang, Shipbuilding Department of Zhonghai Oilfield Service Co., Ltd., and the Party Secretary and Chairman Yang Guoping of Shuangliu Wushui Ship of Wushui Group.

The dual fuel main generating unit of the project uses LNG as the main fuel and diesel as the backup fuel. Under LNG fuel mode, the emission reduction of nitrogen oxides of ships reaches more than 90%, almost no sulfur oxides and particulate matter. The emission meets IMO Tier III, and has EIAPP certificate and related documents issued by CCS. It is a real green ship. Four of the 4,000 horsepower LNG power guard supply vessels (with SPS) can carry 34 Personnel from the offshore oil industry and also have the function of oil spill recovery.

Dalian Liaonan Shipyard Captured 4 5000 HP LNG Power Guard Supply Vessels

It is understood that CNOOC has ordered 12 LNG power guard supply vessels and 8 4000HP power supply guard ships, which have the functions of material supply and guard for the development and production of oil and gas fields. Four of them also have the function of oil spill recovery. Four 5000HP supply guard ships have the functions of assisting oil lifting operation in addition to the above guard supply functions. The 12 vessels are all designed by Shanghai Jiahao under Tianhai Defense. This project is the first time that LNG clean fuel is applied to the oil field supply guard ship in China. It will play an active demonstration leading role in promoting the use of LNG clean energy for ships.

It is understood that in the previous bidding project for CNOOC oil suits, Wushui Group successfully won the tender for four 4000 horsepower LNG power Guardian supply vessels (with SPS), winning the tender price of 307.4 billion yuan, nearly 10% lower than other shipyards. However, according to the international ship network, CNOOC has built four 4000 horsepower LNG power guard supply vessels (without SPS).

According to the evaluation results, the winning bidder's bid amount exceeds the budget amount, and the bidder's investment in this project is unacceptable. Therefore, the bidder will change the acquisition mode after the bidding process. According to the analysis of the winning bidding price of four ships with SPS, the price of the other four without SPS should be less than 300 million yuan, and the total amount of eight ships should be nearly 600 million yuan.

Wushui Group has a long-term good cooperative relationship with CNOOC. Wushui Group has successively built 4990 DWT crude oil tanker, 4800HP platform supply ship, 6500HP multi-functional guard ship, 6000HP oilfield guard ship, UT788CD deepwater three-purpose working vessel, 12000HP deepwater three-purpose working vessel for CNOOC. The ship delivered has excellent performance, reliable quality and has been unanimously praised by CNOOC.

It is understood that there are 8 domestic shipyards participating in the tender for the 8 4000HP supply guard ship project. Besides the Wushu Ship, there are ZhongShip Huangpu Wenchong, Yantai Zhongji Laifushi, Dalian Zhongyuan Heavy Marine Industry, Nantong Zhongji Pacific Marine Industry, Wuhu Shipyard, Fujian Mawei Shipyard and Dalian Liaonan Shipyard.

In addition, the final bid of CNOOC's 4 5,000 horsepower LNG power guard supply vessel project was Dalian Liaonan Shipyard, with the winning price of about 358 million yuan. In addition to Dalian Liaonan Shipyard, Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding, Hezhenhua Heavy Industry and Wushui Group also participated in the bidding.
